The chicken sandwich competition was spurred by two new McDonald's chicken sandwiches with a popular acidic condiment.
The Golden Arches expanded its sandwich menu with Ranch and Bacon Ranch McCrispy. These new items will be offered only at Canadian McDonald's locations, so American customers will have to wait.
On a soft potato bread, the Ranch McCrispy features 100% Canadian-raised seasoned chicken, spicy ranch sauce, shredded lettuce, and pickles.
The Bacon Ranch McCrispy combines the same ingredients with hickory-smoked bacon.
In March, McDonald's rebranded its Crispy Chicken Sandwich the "McCrispy," giving it the "Mc" designation previously reserved for Chicken McNuggets and the McFlurry.
To commemorate the revamp, McDonald's offered a limited-time Bacon Ranch McCrispy and Bacon Ranch Deluxe McCrispy at American restaurants this spring.
The two new chicken sandwiches will only be available for a limited time at selected restaurants in Canada, so don't miss out. The suggested prices for both goods were unavailable.
