Subway is famous for its warm cookies, which are made fresh in every location, but some lucky customers can now try two Cinnabon-inspired desserts.
A new foot-long churro and a Frosted Swirl—a frosted cinnamon bun in a paper wrapper—have been discovered in certain Subway restaurants nationwide.
A blogger, who often leaks new food products before they're announced, posted about Subway's new test desserts on Instagram earlier this week, sparking rumors that Subway was testing them.
A forking Cinnabon Footlong Churro was served at Subway! They also sell Cinnabon Frosted Swirl buns "after read. It noted that the items were seen at an Arnold, Mo. Walmart Subway.
As part of its reinvention, Subway is always trying new ingredients and menu items to improve cuisine and guest experience, a spokeswoman told the site.
Subway hasn't responded to our requests for information on the new desserts' availability. Other Subway fans have provided helpful hints on where to get the new churro and Frosted Swirl.
One Instagram commenter saw them near Columbus, Ohio. Other readers said they saw one or both of the items in Subway restaurants in Connecticut and West Virginia, but didn't specify which stores.
"Dang now I may have decided to go to Subway," one Instagram user said.
Subway has made several notable announcements in recent months, like the Cinnabon-inspired treats at select stores.
The chain welcomed the new slicers with deli-style sandwiches with a double serving of cheese and the "optimal combination of sauces and vegetables," according to its release.
